Welcome to Northbound Adventure

There’s something strange about starting a blog before the real adventure has even begun.

Part of me feels like I should already be out there — somewhere on a long road, with a backpack on my shoulders, tired legs, and a trail story worth telling. But the truth is: journeys like this don’t begin with the first step on the trail.

They begin much earlier.

They begin with an idea that won’t go away.
With maps.
With doubts.
With training sessions, gear lists, route planning, and quiet moments where a dream starts to feel a little more serious than before.

That’s where I am right now.

This blog is about my journey toward hiking Norge på langs — the length of Norway. It’s a big goal, and honestly, that’s part of why it matters to me. I’m not doing this because it’s easy or because I have everything figured out already. I’m doing it because something about it keeps pulling me in.

The idea of walking through an entire country feels both simple and huge at the same time. Just walking. One direction. One long line through landscapes, weather, setbacks, and whatever else comes with it. I think that’s what fascinates me most: the challenge, the freedom, and the honesty of it.

Right now, this is still the preparation phase. That means this blog will not only be about the hike itself one day, but also about everything leading up to it: planning, training, gear, thoughts, lessons, doubts, mistakes, and small wins along the way.

I want this space to be real.

Not just polished highlight moments, but the actual process of working toward something that feels meaningful. Because that part matters too. Maybe even more than people think.

So this is the beginning.

Not the beginning of the hike yet — but the beginning of documenting it.

I’m glad this page is no longer empty. And if you’re here reading this, welcome. I’m looking forward to seeing where this leads.
